Business networking with Swindon jobseekers

Really interesting morning for me today spending some time with some jobseekers in Swindon. These guys are working with the Inner Flame charity to help them get some more skills and confidence and find more innovative ways of finding a job than just applying once the job is advertised.
What impressed me was how switched on these guys were in a business networking environment and how confident they came across, even though they all said they were feeling nervous. I talked about my nerves, strategies so that they don’t feel nervous, and how to push themselves ahead in a crowded job market.
I had one-to-ones with three of the jobseekers there and, I hope, gave them some more ideas too, to help them speed up the process of finding a job.
