Our timetable for The Networking Retreat:
11am: Let’s get started – over coffee and tea we’ll set goals, look at the format for the next two days, and get going.
12 noon: Introductions – we’ll get the first introduction round out of the way, before showing you a better way of doing it.
1pm: Networking lunch – you’re going to be working with your fellow delegates for the next couple of days, and loads of previous networking retreat attendees are working together months and years afterwards. Here’s your first opportunity to get to know everyone.
2pm: You may check into your rooms before the afternoon session.
2:30pm: Smashing your networking introduction – A workshop to help you build a series of 40 or 60 second introductions which will have people queuing to talk to you. You will leave this session with your introduction written, rehearsed and perfected.
7:30pm: Networking Dinner – three courses in Milton Hill House’s attractive restaurant, and a chance to really get to know the other attendees in a relaxed and informal environment. There will be wine, there will be selfies, there will be networking.
8:30am Breakfast – and yet another opportunity to network with your fellow attendees
9:30am Good Morning campers – Let’s do a 40 seconds round, remind everyone who we are and why we’re here.
10am: Preparing your business for networking success – We have a special guest who, using their huge experience, will help us to ensure that our business is not the weak link in our networking. You can be the best networker in the world, but you need a solid business foundation to ensure your success. This 60 minute session will prepare your business in the best possible way.
11:15am: Using a networking meeting for your benefit: The most successful networkers stick to the rules of their networking group, and use the format to suit them, rather than sticking to the format just because it’s there. Some simple, but counter intuitive thinking, can massively increase your effectiveness at every event.
11:45am: The 121 myth – What most people get wrong in their 121s. How to handle your 121s perfectly and how to leave EVERY networking meeting with at least one prospect.
12:30pm: Following up basics – Getting a CRM and some tips for following up which will ensure you stand out and compel people to reply to you.
1pm – Lunch
2pm: Starting with WHO! – Authenticity and honesty – how to accelerate the like, know and trust by liking, knowing and trusting yourself first.
2:30pm Joining it all up with social media – Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn – EVERY business and every business person now needs to be using social media. Those who really want to dominate need to be active on all three. Some strategies and proven methods for joining up your online and offline networking.
3:30pm: Selling for success – The last thing and the thing which most networkers don’t do. The hustle. The grind. Actually asking people to buy from you. This session will make everything else we have done turn into sales, profit and happy clients.
7:30pm: Networking Dinner and guest speaker
This isn’t a workshop. This isn’t a seminar. This is a whole 48 hours spent in a small, select group of networkers, focussing on your success. The retreat is dynamic, immersive and you will leave not just with renewed confidence in your networking, but with the skills and techniques needed to back up that confidence with action.
